Utilities Law

Kravitz, Brown & Dortch attorneys have vast experience in utilities law.  They have represented nearly all forms of telecommunications service providers (ILECs, CLECs, IXCs, cellular, paging, mobile radio) in a wide array of cases before the PUCO, as well as in federal and state courts throughout Ohio.

Kravitz, Brown & Dortch has also represented investor owned electric utilities and their competitive retail electric affiliates before the PUCO and before the Ohio Supreme Court in matters ranging from relatively straight-forward issues involving regulatory compliance and rules proceedings, to cutting edge issues resulting from the restructuring of the electric industry in Ohio and from the merger of utility holding companies.

Kravitz, Brown & Dortch attorneys have represented rural electric cooperatives, a fully-integrated Ohio based energy services company, and natural gas transportation pipeline and local distribution companies.

The firm has also successfully represented several entities before the Ohio Power Siting Board in connection with the licensing and construction of electric power generation and transmission plants in Ohio.  The firm advises commercial and industrial clients regarding their electric and natural gas services contracts.
